Alaya Henderson is the daughter of Phil Henderson and Brittani Miller and the sister of Farrah, Kai, Lovell, Jalal (pronounced juh-lel), and Jamal, from Canonsburg. Alaya is in her fourth year as a member of the wrestling program. In addition to wrestling, she is involved in the LIFE Club. Throughout her wrestling career, Alaya has placed at the Keystone Tournament three times, earned 2nd place at Powerade in 2025, 3rd place at Powerade in 2022, and placed 6th at WPIALs in 2025.

In the classroom, Alaya has achieved honors or high honors throughout high school. One of her favorite team memories is traveling to tournaments in the vans, where she was able to get to know her teammates outside of wrestling, grow friendships, and enjoy stopping for food or going out to eat together.

Following graduation, Alaya plans to attend Washington & Jefferson College to pursue a nursing degree while continuing her wrestling journey under Coach Slack.
